SOR Temperature Switches
| SORŪ Temperature Switches utilize a vapor-pressure thermal system. Fluid vapor pressure changes predictably according to the influence of temperature on the sensing bulb. Process temperature changes cause proportional vapor pressure changes in the temperature sensing bulb that act on the diaphragm/ piston assembly to actuate and de-actuate a snap-action electrical switching element at discrete process temperatures. More specific application requirements can be met by selecting optional components, such as housings and electrical switching elements. The Series 534MT Mini Hermet Temperature Transmitter is a loop-powered (9 to 30 VDC), 3-wire RTD input, and 4-20 mA or 1-5 VDC (optional) output field-mounted instrument. Exterior construction is hermetically sealed 316SS. The Series 534MT can be locally ranged in service while maintaining its explosion proof integrity, which differentiates it from non-serviceable instruments. Its performance is comparable to full-size conventional transmitters and is suitable for hazardous locations and hostile environments where space is limited.
